 Qianling Park is located in the northwest corner of Guiyang city. Named after the Mountain Qianling (the first mountain in south Guizhou), it features all the elegance and beauty of the Guizhou plateau. For any travelers to this city it is well worth a visit.
Covering an area of 300 hectares (741 acres), Qianling Park is a wonderful tourist park in this large city. It is beautifully featured with extended mountain ranges, towering old trees, crystal clear springs and unusual rock formations. More than 1500 kinds of trees and flowers and a thousand different rare medicinal herbs grow naturally on the mountain. Groups of macaques (monkeys) and various birds perch in the trees. Climbing up along the Nine-Twisting Path, one can get to Hongfu Temple (Temple of Good Fortune), which was originally built in 1672 by a monk named Chisong. It is one of the famous Buddhist temples in Guizhou Province. Thousand images of Buddha could be viewed on the cliffs. Standing on the top of the Mountain Qianling, tourists can enjoy a panoramic view of the whole Guiyang city. A popular activity is boating on the Qianling Lake. Would you like to have a try?
