As to your questions about the hotel; I was very satisfied with Kai Wah Plaza International Hotel's facility, staff service, location and surroundings. The aspects I appreciated most were; free broadband internet in the rooms with cables already available, courteous staff and elevator attendants, and non-smoking rooms.
I have one suggestion for improvement. On my last day I was provided with a wonderful pamplet, in English, that described Yunnan and contained a map of Kunming.
I would have like to be given that upon checking in.
